About the Trip

Amsterdam is known for its artistic heritage, elaborate canal system and narrow houses with gabled facades, legacies of the city’s 17th-century Golden Age. Its Museum District is one of the most elaborate in the world, housing works by Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Vermeer and lots of other renowned artists.

During the trip, students will get a chance to enjoy Amsterdam’s famous canal cruises and visit some of its iconic museums including Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum and the Rembrandt House Museum

At the Van Gogh Museum, see hundreds of paintings, drawings, and letters by the Dutch master himself. Explore the works of 17th-century Dutch masters at the Rijkmuseum. Look inside Rembrandt’s life and see where he got his inspiration.
We hope to cover as much as we can so make sure to always have your camera and sketchbook. As usual, there’ll be enough time off for you to enjoy visits to local restaurants, shops and bars.

Van Gogh Museum

Vincent van Gogh decided to become an artist at the age of 27. That decision would change his life and art history forever. The Van Gogh Museum is home to the largest Van Gogh collection, and one of the most popular museums in the world.

Explore Van Gogh’s art and life, his famous paintings and drawings, read his letters and much more. Read Vincent’s biography and explore his famous masterpieces in the museum’s permanent exhibition and other special exhibitions.

Rembrandt House Museum

The Rembrandt House Museum stands as a unique tribute to the life and work of Rembrandt, making it the sole institution worldwide devoted to the master artist. It also offers a rare opportunity to experience the living conditions of Rembrandt himself, providing an authentic glimpse into his daily life.

Step back in time to the 17th century and experience where he lived and worked for nineteen years (1639-1658). Indulge in his art and rarities collected from all over the world.

The current museum showcases Rembrandt’s living and working quarters, including his living room, art room, and studio, where he created his masterpieces.
