Catherine Byrne is a native of Dublin, where she currently lives and paints. Her art studio, a bedroom in her home, is what she describes as the most important room in the house.
Alongside taking photographs and developing her own personal composition ideas, Catherine attends classes with Dublin Art Classes, run by Catherine Lawlor. She has been a student there since 2013 and credits Catherine’s help, guidance, and knowledge with inspiring her to produce painting after painting, much to her own surprise and delight.
Living on the coast in north Dublin, Catherine draws much of her inspiration from her local surroundings, as well as from a number of professionally acclaimed artists. She is particularly drawn to landscapes and cityscapes and has a huge love of colour, which is clearly evident throughout her paintings.
